Employment

Requesting your data in a redundancy dispute.

If you suspect the selection process wasn't fair, the termination letter won't show you why. The scoring and decision-making behind it usually will.

What's Commonly Withheld

Beyond the termination letter

Selection and scoring matrices

The criteria used to score you against your role, and how each score was arrived at.

Comparator scores

How colleagues in the same selection pool scored, typically disclosed with their identifying details redacted.

Internal decision emails

Discussions between managers and HR about who was selected and why, ahead of any formal announcement.

Consultation meeting notes

Records of what was actually discussed in your individual and collective consultation meetings.

Why a Template Email Fails Here

A generic request typically returns your termination letter and payslips — the scoring matrix and internal decision-making that actually determined the outcome are rarely volunteered unless specifically named. Getting them requires a request scoped to the redundancy process itself, identity-verified so the employer can't legitimately pause the clock on ID grounds alone.
